David Taylor's Animal Pictorial Appliqué - 5 Day Workshop
5 Day Retreat Workshop with David Taylor
April 14 - 18, 10am - 3pm
Join award-winning quilter, David Taylor, for a 5-day workshop at The Cotton Patch! Learn the layered freezer paper appliqué process that David uses on his beautifully realistic pictorial wall quilts.
Working from your own photograph, this workshop with award winning quilter, David Taylor, guides you through the process of creating an original pieced pictorial quilt. With rulers and pencils, you'll draft an easy-to-piece fractured pattern and then transfer it into freezer paper templates. Then, you'll take great care in selecting just the right fabrics to enhance the design: fun and funky, bold and beautiful, natural color - you decide.
This 5 day workshop will include lots of demonstrations including David's pre-turned-edge technique, eliminating the dreaded shadowing and an invisible hand-stitch. Find out even more details about the class on David's website.
You will learn so much more than you ever expected and come away thinking about fabrics in a totally new way. Don't miss a chance to learn from David in this intimate, classroom setting. Spots are very limited, so sign up now to save your seat!
